About Gijs van Beusekom

Gijs van Beusekom is a 23 year old Dutch and male psychology student. On his 18th birthday his parents gave him a rather dilapidated keyboard. Although he couldn't play with both hands at first because he had to hold the instrument together, his love for music showed to be bigger than the sum of particles falling off. After a year he replaced his dump yard for a better model. He persisted in playing and from around that time are his first recordings. Most are improvisations and some a "real" compositions. Looking a these works it need to be said that most of them are slightly unstructured. In the meanwhile he also replaced that keyboard for a stage-piano. At this very moment his composition and improvisations has grown a bit more mature and music had found a permanent place in his life.
