Chris Owen is a pianist and composer from Cedar Lake, Indiana. He began playing pianos eleven years ago at the age of five, and has been taught by Sharon Peterson, Charlotte Bendt, Edith Martin, and Annie Chalex Boyle. He has been composing for two years, mainly using a post-minimalistic style.

His influences include: John Adams, Alberto Ginastera, Robert Davidson, John Cage, Iannis Xenakis.
