Reason for joining Young Composers: "I am interested in one day composing professionally and I want to grow and develop my skills as much as possible and this seems like a great way to do it. I have started several short pieces with an incredible skill curve but I still lack the knowledge and ability to notate them correctly as well as the foundation in composition and music theory that I need. I'm hoping that between my piano lessons, my music theory class in school and this website I will improve in these aspects."
