Interested in learning to compose. Unfortunately I've never learned to play an instrument. Last year I took a course on music notation. Since then I'm hooked on tranferring the music in my head to a score in the computer. Of course the musical idea has long gone or changed shape before I reach the tenth bar or so. So till now, the only thing I seem to do is producing small blobs of music. I need to find a way to create bigger structures and project them in time. I've tried writing passacaglia's and writing to the melodie of a choral. I'm writing fugues because they also force and aid me to contruct longer "episodes" of music. I am developing my musical skills by bluntely starting over and over again with new scores, but hope to get some guidance to speed up the learning curve.
