Minor scale

"Minor scale" is the blanket term for several scales, all of which are related.
- Natural minor scale - a scale found a minor third below its relative major scale.
- Harmonic minor scale - a natural minor scale with a raised 7th degree.
- Melodic minor scale - a natural minor scale with a raised 6th and 7th degree, but only when ascending.
