Trombonist/keyboardist/percussionist/composer Chad "Sir Wick" Hughes hails from Detroit, MI and has performed with the Kid Rock, Temptations, Martha Reeves, Dwele, Marcus Belgrave and Marc's Project. He studied composition with William Bolcom, Elanie Lillios, Marilyn Shrude, and James Aikman who was studying extensively with Louis Andriessen. As an arranger, he has worked for the University of Michigan, University of Florida, Alcorn State Univerisity, Bowling Green State University, and Montana State University.

Sir Wick was born in 1999 when then twenty-two year old Hughes teamed up with lyricists Marcus Collins and Steven Snead. Already scheduled to record with a nineteen-piece band at The Disc Recording Studios, he was thrilled to collaborate with these hot writers who were also former high-school classmates. With his high-school nickname as his nomenclature, Sir Wick now had the music and the lyrics. All he needed was the singer. While completing a Master’s degree in Music Composition at Bowling Green State University, he met jazz vocalist Sedalia Marie and invited her to collaborate on some tracks written by him and Collins. The puzzle was now complete, or so he thought!

Meanwhile, Sarah D’Angelo was preparing to move to Detroit from West Virginia to study Clarinet Performance at the University of Michigan. Sir Wick knew he had discovered a vocal gem after hearing her sing at a church service. Now, together with his ten-piece band and dynamic duo Sedalia Marie and Sarah D'Angelo on vocals, Sir Wick is ready to take center stage!
